ABOUTTHE ROLE
The Senior Financial Analyst at Come Near is responsible for developing and managing the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to provide actionable insights that support the organization s strategic objectives. This role will also have direct influence on sophisticating the organization’s processes and software platform integrations as Come Near positions itself for substantial growth in the near future.
The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the COO, Controller, and other department leaders to ensure financial plans align with the organization’s goals and provide accurate financial projections to guide decision-making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Planning and Budgeting:- Assist in the development and management of the annual budgeting process, working closely with department leaders to create accurate and achievable budgets.
- Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying variances and working with department leaders to manage budget adherence.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term planning and scenario analysis.
- Prepare regular financial forecasts, updating projections based on actual performance, market conditions, and changes in organizational priorities.
- Provide analysis and insights on key drivers of financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
- Collaborate with the COO, Controller and leadership team to refine and adjust forecasts as necessary, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis as requested to support decision-making relating to personnel, programmatic investments, and expense management.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and dashboards to the Controller, executive team, and Board of Directors, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Monitor key financial metrics and trends, providing actionable insights to support organizational growth and efficiency.
- Support the strategic planning process by providing financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential initiatives, projects, and investments.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure that strategic plans are financially viable and sustainable.
- Identify and assess financial risks related to budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations throughout the planning and forecasting process.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries related to financial planning and forecasting.
- Identify opportunities and propose solutions to improve financial planning and forecasting processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Implement best practices in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and budgeting processes to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial planning activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and financial best practices to inform planning and forecasting activities.
- Work closely with the finance team, department leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure that financial plans and forecasts are accurate and aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide training and support to department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and financial management best practices.
