Opportunity

As a Portfolio Services Analyst, you will support the Janus Henderson Investment staff by assisting with SMA processing and UMA model delivery. For SMA processing this includes order generation, quality review, compliance review, order execution support and research and resolution of complex problems. For UMA model delivery this includes monitoring model changes, extracting model updates, maintaining a record of model updates, maintaining a model trade rotation, delivering and validating model updates to program sponsors.

You will interact directly with Janus Henderson Investment staff across all asset classes, external counter parties and internal business partners on trade detail and problem resolution, as well as providing monitoring support for Portfolio Managers throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle all aspects of trading and model delivery for the SMA business. Trade preparation includes new accounts, liquidating accounts, drift monitoring, trade rotation approval, tax lot harvesting and corporate action processing.
  • Handle all aspects of model maintenance and distribution for the UMA business. Model maintenance includes daily model updates and distributions, daily rotation review, new accounts, liquidating accounts, drift monitoring and corporate action processing.
  • Provide daily monitoring and act as a central point of contact for the SMA and UMA businesses across various dynamics.
  • Work closely with the investment teams by providing assistance and support during the order generation and compliance approval process.
  • Offer tactical support to assist Portfolio Managers meeting client demands.
  • Assist the Traders with staging orders for execution or addressing ad‑hoc issues or requests during the order execution process.
  • Assist in researching and resolving problems including compliance issues, trade errors, problems with securities, reporting requirements and/or monetary issues.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Must Have Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for one year of experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently within established guidelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of mutual fund/financial services industry/financial markets.
  • Must be accurate, well organized and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
Nice to Have Skills
  • One to two years of related experience in the mutual fund/financial services industry preferred.
  • One to two years of SMA or UMA specific experience is preferred.
