Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

Salary: $130,000 – $150,000

Location: Denver, Co. (primarily onsite)

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Controller to lead the organization’s accounting operations and serve as a key financial partner to executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CFO, this Controller will oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions while helping drive financial strategy, operational efficiency, and scalable processes to support continued growth.

This position is ideal for a Controller who enjoys balancing technical accounting leadership with operational collaboration.

• As a Controller, you'll lead all accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, and sales tax compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Own the month‑end close process and continuously improve close timelines and accuracy
• Manage, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team
• Partner with the CFO and leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, and annual business planning
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decision‑making and profitability initiatives
• Support system optimization initiatives (ERP experience strongly preferred)
• Assist with annual audit coordination and external reporting requirements
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial analyses for executive leadership
• Lead special projects tied to expansion, scalability, and operational improvement

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
• Prior Controller or Accounting Manager leadership experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
• Experience with in project‑based environments highly preferred
• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
