Interim Controller

Our client, a growing data-driven technology company, is seeking an Interim Controller to support their accounting operations during a leadership transition. The position is fully remote. This engagement has an expected duration of 3 months, with the potential of conversion if local to Denver or San Francisco.

• Manage and coordinate the work of outsourced bookkeeping resources.
• Lead audit preparation, including documentation, schedules, and interaction with external auditors.
• Oversee month‑end close activities and deliver accurate financial statements.
• Support weekly cash forecasting, revenue schedules, and invoicing processes.
• Administer sales tax processes using a recently implemented tax platform.
• Utilize the company’s new ERP system and contribute to process improvements.

• Experience as a Controller or Director of Accounting within small to mid‑sized organizations.
• Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606).
• Ability to independently run a full‑cycle accounting function while remaining hands‑on.
• Willingness to learn new financial systems and tools.
• Experience supporting or leading a company through an external audit.
