Position Overview
Prologis Energy is seeking a high‑performing Associate to join the Energy Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in Denver, Colorado. The role maintains and enhances the Global Energy Financial Model, drives forecasting accuracy, and delivers actionable financial insights to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Modeling, Forecasting & Process Improvement
- Maintain and enhance the Global Energy Financial Model incorporating updated assumptions, scenario analysis, and long‑range projections.
- Own the monthly rolling forecast and annual budgeting process in partnership with Development, Execution, Asset Management, and Accounting teams.
- Perform variance analysis and track key assumptions to improve forecast accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to streamline planning and reporting processes through enhanced modeling and system utilization.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand business drivers and accurately reflect them in forecasts.
- Performance Analysis & Executive Reporting
- Design comprehensive reporting packages and conduct monthly reviews with business partners to facilitate variance analysis and forecast updates.
- Support project‑level financial analysis, including cash‑flow modeling and sensitivity analysis.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly business plan updates and earnings support materials.
- Develop executive‑ready presentations and reporting materials, highlighting key insights to stakeholders.
- 2+ years of experience in FP&A, investment analysis, public accounting, corporate finance or a related field.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and the impact of key business drivers on financials.
- Advanced financial modeling skills with experience building and maintaining complex Excel‑based models.
- Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills, able to work independently in ambiguous environments.
- Self‑motivated with a track record of taking initiative and driving process improvements.
- High attention to detail and ownership mindset, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, translating financial data into actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders.
- Prior experience with Planful software or Sigma, and willingness to learn and use these tools and others.
Hiring salary range: $102,000 – $140,000. Total compensation, including bonus target, will be determined based on location, education, experience, skills and internal equity.
