Overview

Join our team at Eaton Metal Products, a company dedicated to excellence.

As an Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall success of the accounting team.

Responsibilities
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures, inclusive of preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations and participating in and preparing for variance reviews.
  • Lead and collaborate on assigned projects, continuously improving departmental quality by creating efficiencies, streamlining repetitive processes, and leveraging technology.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of management reports and financial packages for the Controller.
  • Submit sales taxes owed on a monthly basis and support the preparation of sales tax filings and other regulatory sales tax compliance requirements.
  • Accurately record hourly employees’ timecard for payroll.
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the company.
  • Work closely with all departments in both accounting and operational capacity.
Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • CPA or MBA highly preferred.
  • 5 + years of accounting experience and knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, accruals and financial controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience with Sage Preferred.
