GeneralSummary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day financial activities for the Company and the Company’s clients. These activities include maintaining adequate controls and regular financial tracking and reporting.
Role Overview Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Day-to-day financial inputting, tracking, including the maintaining of adequate controls for the designated accounts of his/her responsibility.
- Applies appropriate accounting techniques and standard practices when inputting, tracking, analyzing, reconciling, and reporting on his/her designated accounts of responsibility.
- Prepares and posts journal entries.
- Works with client advisors to ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
- Helps prepare client financial statements and other information to send to client’s tax accountants.
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliations.
- Processes bill pay.
- Ensures monthly general ledger journal entries, bank reconciliations, weekly check runs, and month-end closings are completed accurately and timely.
- Supports the Manager of Accounting, Senior Accountants, and Controller.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 2-4 years’ experience
- Previous experience in corporate accounting, finance, wealth management or related field preferred
- Must have knowledge of Windows (Word, Excel) and other applicable accounting software
- Previous experience with and/or Quick Books Enterprise preferred
- Strong analysis and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and individuals as well as work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and processes
- Strong service orientation to internal customers and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to partner with various operating units to improve department processes

Base salary range: $65,000-$95,000
