Position: Account Executive - Payments

Who are we?

Traild is a high‑growth SaaS company redefining how finance teams operate, combining AI, automation, and payments infrastructure to power the future of B2B finance.

Every year, businesses lose billions to fraud, errors, and mistakes. Traild exists to solve this at scale, helping finance teams move faster, stay in control, and operate with confidence.

With rapid customer growth, global expansion across APAC, North America and EMEA, and continued investment in product innovation, we are at a defining stage of our journey.

This is an opportunity to help shape the next category leader in finance automation, control and security, building technology that transforms how businesses manage, move, and protect money. At the core of this is a powerful AI‑driven platform, enabling finance teams to deploy intelligent agents that do the work, surface risk in real time, and continuously improve how financial operations run.

Traild is building the infrastructure behind modern finance, protecting and powering meaningful volumes of the world’s B2B transactions.

If you’re excited by high growth, real ownership, and building something that matters, Traild is the place to do the most impactful work of your career.

Role

As an Account Executive, you are the key to unlocking new possibilities for our clients. You will be at the heart of our sales process, demonstrating the unique value of Traild’s solutions. You’ll partner with CFOs, controllers, and finance leaders at SME, mid‑market, and enterprise organizations to show them how Traild streamlines, automates, and protects their accounts payable operations.

This is a high‑impact, quota‑carrying role at a company scaling fast across North America, APAC, and EMEA. You’ll be a trusted advisor, a sharp closer, and a key voice shaping how we go to market in the U.S. If you’re energized by complex B2B sales, payments and fintech, and the chance to help build a category leader — this is your seat.

We may request you to spend 3 months in San Francisco to work and learn alongside our Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle: qualify, demo, negotiate, and close. Convert SDR‑sourced, channel‑sourced and self‑sourced opportunities into closed‑won revenue while maintaining clean, accurate CRM hygiene at every stage.
  • Build your own pipeline: prospect strategically using modern sales tools, ABM tactics, and finance/CFO networks to generate self‑sourced opportunities alongside inbound and partner pipeline.
  • Run compelling demos: lead engaging, business‑outcome‑focused demos for CFOs, finance directors, controllers, AP managers, and ERP/IT stakeholders — translating Traild’s AI‑driven automation, fraud protection, and payments capabilities into clear ROI.
  • Be a payments and fintech expert: deepen fluency in B2B payments, accounts payable workflows, fraud and control risks, and ERP ecosystems. Stay sharp on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Traild’s evolving product.
  • Win and grow strategic accounts: build durable relationships across mid‑market and enterprise customers. Identify expansion opportunities and partner with CS to deliver long‑term value.
  • Drive sales strategy: build and execute account plans, forecast accurately, and consistently meet or exceed quota. Bring data‑driven insights back to the GTM org.
  • Champion the customer: deeply understand customer pain points and partner cross‑functionally with Product, Marketing, and CS to influence roadmap and improve the buyer experience.
Who You Are
  • 3+ years of sales experience in fintech payments space
  • Proven track record of working with mid‑market and large enterprises, ideally with finance, CFO, or AP buyer personas.
  • Strong commercial instincts: skilled in discovery, value‑selling, negotiation, and closing complex multi‑stakeholder deals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication — you can run a sharp executive conversation and a hands‑on product walkthrough with equal confidence.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a passion for collective success.
  • Strong collaborator with an attitude embracing growth, hands‑on execution, adaptability, and the scale‑up spirit.
