Job Overview
Reporting to the Business Evaluation Manager, the Financial Modelling Analyst will support SSR Mining’s strategic financial planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital allocation strategy through rigorous financial modelling and analysis.
Responsibilities- Partner with the Corporate Growth and Innovation team to develop and maintain bottoms‑up cost models for each mine site, including NPV, IRR, All‑in‑Sustaining Costs, and ROIC.
- Assess and quantify key risks in growth opportunities for capital projects at each site.
- Execute site‑ and company‑level scenario analysis to support the annual strategic planning process.
- Provide financial modelling and analysis to inform leadership on capital allocation and project prioritization.
- Support the development and publication of SEC filings (e.g., SK-1300, NI‑43101, Mineral Reserves and Resources) with accurate operational and financial data.
- Establish standards and templates for continuous improvement project evaluation across sites.
- Align the company’s debt instruments with long‑term financing needs in collaboration with Corporate Development.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analysis to deliver insights for finance, technical, and cross‑functional teams.
- Create reporting deliverables for executive leadership and board presentations.
- Serve as backup for other corporate finance initiatives as needed.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, engineering, or related field.
- 5‑7 years of relevant work experience; mining industry experience preferred.
- Professional designation (CPA, CFA, MBA) an asset.
- Proficiency in discounted cash‑flow modelling and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP, One Stream, or Power
BI reporting an asset. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to summarize analysis key points.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate across functional areas.
- Salary range: $105,000–$115,000 (for Colorado applicants).
