Risk Manager/Analyst
Position Overview
Underwriter III within PNC’s Real Estate Banking organization. Based in Denver, CO;
San Diego, CA; or Los Angeles, CA. Works independently with little or no oversight and exercises elevated approval authority. Provides credit decisions and recommendations for transaction structuring while serving as a subject‑matter expert for specific asset classes.
- Prep loan offerings for all transaction types at any complexity level or manage an assigned portfolio.
- Interact with internal and external customers to gather and clarify information.
- Provide recommendations for credit structuring and prepare risk rating scorecards based on credit, collateral strength, and financial worthiness.
- Perform ongoing credit risk management for the portfolio when relevant.
- Coach and review work of other underwriters and serve as acting manager as required.
- Identify and confirm all external regulatory requirements and ensure internal policies are followed.
- Make or recommend credit decisions directly as appropriate.
- Apply knowledge of IRS Code Sections 42 and 47, equity structures, market research (including onsite inspections), and third‑party guidelines.
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant, direct industry experience or a comparable combination of education, certification, and experience.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities in credit analysis, risk assessment, decision making, financial analysis, process improvement, and real‑estate asset management.
- Competencies in accuracy, coaching others, critical thinking, managing multiple priorities, and market research.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; no specific certification or license required.
Base Salary: $94,875.00 – $. Incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
