Overview
Senior Commercial Relationship Manager – Denver, CO Cherry Creek branch. Leads a loan portfolio greater than $100MM, manages more than 35 bank relationships, and generates at least $1.8MM in revenue. Establishes and maintains collaborative partnerships with clients to meet their business objectives and lifecycle needs.
Responsibilities- Achieve annual production and growth goals for loans, deposits, and fees to meet bank financial targets.
- Initiate and develop new business through outside development activities and community organization participation.
- Maintain ongoing contact with new and existing clients, enhance their experience with First Interstate Bank, and build a referral pipeline.
- Analyze credit to determine client eligibility for borrowing, ensuring sound asset quality through underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management.
- Track activities with internal customer sourcing software, generate leads, and make referrals to business partners and bankers.
- Sustain portfolio activities and issues, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
- Stay up‑to‑date on industry, commercial, economic, and financial situations relevant to client needs.
- Contribute to strategic discussions with senior management and serve as the subject‑matter expert on complex questions.
- Participate in training and coaching of other team members as needed.
- Promote bank products and services, keeping clients informed of financial solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
PowerPoint experience is beneficial. - Advanced credit analysis and commercial underwriting skills; completion of formal Credit Analyst training required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Experienced in asset‑based lending, capital structure finance, and trade finance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities.
- Ability to prioritize work, adapt under pressure, and apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
- Experience with the bank’s risk‑rating system, credit products, and underwriting policies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial lending, credit underwriting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Dexterity of hands/fingers to operate computer keyboard and mouse; frequently sitting, standing, and occasional noise level. Typical work hours M‑F (8‑5). Regular and predictable attendance required. Occasional travel as needed.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $150,810 to $248,710 per year in CO. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short‑term and long‑term disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k) with 6% match, Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .069 per hour worked, approximately 18 days per year inclusive of paid sick time), and up to 11 paid federal holidays.
