Financial Analyst
As a Global Financial Analyst at Altra, you will report to the Director of FP&A, Global Altra and will be responsible for preparing business performance analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support Global Finance.
Responsibilities- Prepare business performance analysis, reporting, and forecasting for Global Finance.
- Partner with the Director to support the 5‑Year Rolling Financial Plan (LRP) and collaborate with global Strategy, Marketing, Product, Operations, Supply Chain and regional finance teams.
- Analyze brand strategy and translate findings into financial insights.
- Support preparation of presentations for executive leadership, quarterly financial reviews and ad‑hoc requests.
- Build and maintain financial models, product margin analysis, and pricing and cost frameworks.
- Track and analyze actuals versus budget/forecast for global SG&A budgets.
- Assist the global GTM process, identify gaps versus 5‑Year assumptions, and update rolling models.
- Create and maintain standardized tools for consolidation of global financials and aggregate commentary on key financial variances.
- Partner with global functions to ensure budget adherence and meet SG&A savings goals.
- Monitor global brand costs and support monthly close and reporting for cost centers.
- Consolidate product‑level revenue reporting to support commercial planning.
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and ad‑hoc requests, including data gathering, analytics and business case development.
- Analyze short‑term and long‑term business trends using KPIs across channels.
- Drive enhancements in financial reporting, analysis and system requirements.
- Provide ad‑hoc analytical support, including reports, presentations and special projects.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- 0‑2 years of experience in FP&A at a multinational corporation, preferably in consumer‑related or retail industries.
- Strong financial background with exceptional analytical and modeling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with evolving business needs.
- Strategic thinking, problem‑solving and project‑management skills (efficiency, organization, collaboration).
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented and achievement‑oriented.
- Business acumen – understanding of product lifecycle and creative, foresightful thinking.
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, capable of interpreting financial results and identifying key business issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; data management and reporting skills.
- Strong appreciation for a values‑driven culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting findings to management in a clear and concise manner.
Hybrid role – 3 days in office; remaining days remote.
Compensation & BenefitsHiring Range: $62,208.00 USD – $77,760.00 USD annually. Incentive Potential may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive or commission.
