About the Role
A Trust Operations Specialist is responsible for the accounting functions undertaken by the Trust department in its administration of trusts, agency accounts, estates, conservatorships, and IRAs.
Responsibilities- Post all transactions on the trust accounting system accurately and without direction.
- Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and according to client instructions.
- Ensure all documentation related to the cash transaction is appropriately archived and noted.
- Proactively communicate with clients via phone to advise them of the status of their request.
- Quickly remediate any issues or concerns arising from the client contact.
- Ensure all procedures related to client contact are adhered to.
- Assist in cashiering activities related to institutional client conversions and deconversions under guidance of senior team members.
- Develop an understanding of complex distribution activities (Roth conversions, alternative asset re-registrations, plan distributions, and other complex processing activities) under guidance of senior team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for the assigned job function and apply to designated job responsibilities; knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training.
- Keep up to date on regulation changes.
- Follow all bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and complete all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the bank's written policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, bank security, and other applicable regulations.
- Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when asked.
- Actively learn, demonstrate, and foster the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.
- Take personal initiative and serve as a positive example for others.

- High School Diploma or equivalent certificate required.
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Prior financial services experience in a transaction processing environment preferred.
- Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational, time management, problem prevention, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team‑oriented environment.
- Flexible and willing to work in a fast‑paced dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of a PC and Windows environment.
- Developing professional expertise and applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
$22.61 – $26.00 per hour. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non‑discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
Performance Incentive CompensationThe role may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation. Details will be provided during the recruitment process.
Primary Location1801 California Street, Suite 800, Denver, CO 80202. Ability to work fully onsite at the posted location.
