Commercial Credit Analyst

Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year.

Responsibilities- Become efficient in the use of all systems and procedures used by the portfolio management group, including spreading software, projection and modeling software, credit approval software, and formats for formal credit recommendations.
- Provide strong support to PMs by producing inputs vital to projects such as financial spreads, charts, models, and other components for new extensions of credit, amendments/waivers, annual reviews, and other assignments.
- Acquire a basic understanding of the bank’s metrics and conditions for extending credit, applying that understanding daily.
- Understand the bank’s metrics and conditions for tracking client operating/financial performance after a loan is made, including covenant and borrowing base compliances.
- Become the department expert for performing industry overviews summarizing conditions affecting the operating/financial performance of bank prospects and clients.
- Become familiar with loan documentation and produce summaries of important loan conditions and collateral structures.
- Become familiar with loan pricing and produce summaries of a client’s profitability and the return on bank equity created by its relationship with the bank.
- Understand ancillary products important to building the bank’s relationship with commercial/corporate clients and assist product area representatives when necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1+ years in commercial lending and credit analysis.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word/Excel).
- Ability to learn new systems quickly, specifically and nCino.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks or projects on time with high accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Continuous professional development on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Understand financial statements: balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements.
- Travel will be required as needed.
The role requires performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employees may spend extended periods sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers, reaching for work‑related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
