Detection & Investigation Associate: FDO Treasury Management Fraud

Position Overview

As a Detection & Investigation Associate within PNC's FDO Treasury Management Fraud organization, you will be based in Birmingham, AL, or Denver, CO. The role is in‑office and involves evaluating potential and actual customer losses, minimizing fraud, AML, and organizational risk, and investigating suspicious activity.

• Investigate and mitigate suspicious bank activity and potential fraud.
• Control and prevent losses related to fraud, AML, and organizational risk.
• Research and analyze bank reports to identify and prevent fraudulent and suspicious activities.
• Recommend dispositions, identify gaps, and suggest control enhancements.
• Perform early detection of suspicious activity and maintain documentation.
• Escalate trends and issues to appropriate stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including local, state, federal authorities, and other financial institutions.
• Lead and train detection and investigation staff as required.

• University or college degree with at least 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Knowledge of anti‑money laundering, sanctions policies, fraud detection and prevention, and risk mitigation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Experience in fraud investigation or related compliance functions.
• Ability to prepare and maintain detailed investigation documentation.
• Good understanding of PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• USA‑based eligibility (no visa sponsorship).

Base salary range: $52,500 – $96,250 per year, variable based on location and performance.
