Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

Description We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join a leading international construction company in Denver, Colorado.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a major business unit, collaborate closely with executive leadership, and oversee a team of finance professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in financial management, compliance, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and manage accurate financial reports to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

- Oversee cash management processes, ensuring optimal resource allocation and liquidity.

- Provide leadership to the finance and accounting team, offering guidance and setting strategic objectives.

- Maintain compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.

- Supervise project accounting activities to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.

- Collaborate with executive leaders to align financial strategies with organizational goals.

- Manage insurance requirements, ensuring adequate coverage and risk mitigation.

- Assist with tax planning and compliance to meet regulatory requirements.

- Support the maintenance and improvement of internal financial systems and processes. Requirements - Proven experience in financial reporting and compliance.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP and US GAAP accounting principles.

- Demonstrated expertise in cash management and resource allocation.

- CPA certification with an active license is required.

- Previous experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.

- Ability to oversee and mentor a team of finance professionals.

- Proficiency in managing project accounting and financial oversight.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
