Role Overview
As an Analyst, Tax Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting accurate and timely tax reporting. Your work ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while contributing to efficient and reliable tax processes that support Newmont’s operations.
Responsibilities- Prepare tax calculations and work papers for income tax returns, including support for hard close and year‑end processes.
- Administer and support timely, accurate tax compliance filings and payments.
- Prepare tax schedules and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with internal tax and finance teams, as well as external auditors.
- Identify and contribute to process improvements and efficiencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CPA/CTA or Master’s preferred).
- Foundational understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas).
- Experience with tax compliance systems and tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze information, follow processes, and solve problems with guidance.
- Knowledge of Alteryx or another workflow efficiency platform.
- The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado.
- Hybrid schedule with 2 days at the corporate office on Bellview Station.
- Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.
- The listed salary range applies to positions based in Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates hired in other locations.
Salary range: USD $86,500 – $115,300 for Colorado. The salary offer will be based on job‑related education, training, and/or experience and is not based on salary history.
