Compensation
  • Overall hiring pay range: $60,299.20 – $ per year
  • Banking Officer I: $60,299.20 – $88,545.60 per year
  • Banking Officer II: $66,331.20 – $97,400.16 per year
  • Banking Officer III: $80,246.40 – $ per year
  • Banking Officer IV: $88,275.20 – $ per year
  • Banking Officer V: $97,988.80 – $ per year
  • Additional $2,080.00 per year may be awarded if approved for the Spanish Communication Assistant Program.
  • Pay ranges are commensurate with relevant experience and education.

Job Summary
  • Originate, process, and service the credit needs of businesses, consumers, and professionals.
  • Maintain and solicit related depository accounts and other fee‑generating services.
  • Provide support to all retail and Treasury Management functions and maintain working knowledge of all operational functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Service credit needs of customers and conduct prospective visits; gather financial information; perform or coordinate credit analysis; present and recommend loans to the Bank Loan Committee; negotiate terms such as rates, collateral, guarantees, and loan agreements.
  • Administer and review credit until collection, including monitoring and grading of credit.
  • Detect potential problems and apply techniques for problem loan administration.
  • Rely heavily on judgment during loan approval; ultimately responsible for the loan, whether or not committee approval is required.
  • Manage a commercial loan portfolio, ensuring credit quality, compliance with bank policies, applicable laws, and regulations; manage past‑due status; include consumer credits as applicable.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to commercial and consumer banking officers in collaboration with Community Bank Presidents.
  • Act as relationship manager for assigned customers, ensuring satisfaction and resolution of service problems across all bank products.
  • Expand customer base through networking, sales calling, and solicitation of both borrowing and non‑borrowing business; maintain product knowledge to generate credit, deposit, and fee revenue.
  • Participate in community activities to enhance the bank’s visibility and reputation.
  • Deliver quality service per department standards.
  • Maintain National Mortgage Licensing Systems (NMLS) registration as required by the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
  • Stay current on Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and other banking regulations and policies related to the position.
  • Maintain working knowledge of retail and treasury management functions and provide support, including transaction and exception approvals.
  • Refer clients seeking investment options to the Financial Services department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Banking Officer I
  • 1 year of experience in consumer/retail or commercial lending and collections, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Banking Officer II
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial lines lending or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Enhanced ability to analyze credit, underwrite risk for commercial lines loans; portfolio size approximately $5 MM – $20 MM with 50–80 credits; may also manage a consumer loan portfolio.
  • Performs duties under some guidance and direction of senior lenders.
