Transaction Services Specialist

Duration: 6+ Month Contract

We are seeking a detail-oriented Transaction Servicing Specialist to join a back‑office banking operations team supporting high‑volume transaction processing. This contract role is ideal for candidates with experience in banking operations, ACH processing, or check servicing who thrive in a structured, deadline‑driven environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing ACH and check transactions, resolving transaction exceptions, supporting servicing requests, and ensuring operational accuracy while maintaining compliance with established procedures.

• Process incoming ACH and check transactions accurately and within established service level agreements.
• Review, validate, and release customer‑submitted ACH batches.
• Perform transaction corrections and resolve processing exceptions.
• Review check and ACH items for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Research and resolve transaction‑related servicing requests and operational issues.
• Support GCC‑related operational processes.
• Utilize FIS and Salesforce to process transactions and document servicing activities.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Effectively prioritize workload while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.

• Previous experience in back‑office banking, financial services, or banking operations.
• Experience with ACH processing and/or check processing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment.
• Comfortable working independently within a collaborative, focused back‑office team.
• Experience with FIS and/or Salesforce is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

• Experience supporting transaction servicing or payment operations.
• Familiarity with banking regulations and transaction processing best practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a plus.
• Recent graduates with ACH processing experience and a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
