Job TitleInvestment Banking Associate
Role SummaryAssociates work closely with senior bankers on the execution of complex corporate finance transactions while also supporting ongoing business development efforts. The role provides significant exposure to transaction execution, client interaction, and junior team leadership within a fast ‑ paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze companies, industries, and market dynamics, including historical financial performance and forward ‑ looking projections
- Build detailed financial models, including valuation, transaction, and scenario analyses
- Prepare client pitch materials, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other transaction marketing documents
- Assist in identifying and evaluating appropriate strategic and financial counter parties, including buyers, sellers, and capital providers
- Manage and execute transaction due diligence processes, including coordination with clients and third ‑ party advisors
- Maintain professional relationships with client personnel and internal stakeholders at appropriate levels
- Analyze merger and acquisition market trends and contribute to industry research and thought leadership
- Maintain accurate transaction data and pipeline information within the firm’s CRM platform
- Support the training, mentoring, and oversight of analysts and interns
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, leadership qualities, and a consistently high work ethic
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of transaction execution and firm initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline
- Minimum of two years of investment banking experience, with a strong preference for M&A transaction exposure
- Solid understanding of financial statements and corporate finance principles
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling and valuation analysis
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and institutional market data platforms
- High degree of professionalism, maturity, and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem ‑ solving abilities
- Prior experience mentoring or leading junior team members
- Advanced understanding of capital markets, transaction legal frameworks, and risk management considerations
- Self ‑ starter with the ability to thrive in a high ‑ intensity, deadline ‑ driven environment
- Willingness to obtain required securities licensing if not already held
