Overview
Seeking Tax Manager who will play a key leadership role in the tax practice. This position is responsible for overseeing tax preparation and review, collaborating on year-round tax planning strategies, and helping establish scalable processes to support continued growth.
The role is ideal for a CPA who enjoys solving complex tax issues, mentoring professionals, improving systems, and delivering an excellent client experience.
Position OverviewAs a CPA, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening relationships with existing wealth management clients by providing expert tax preparation, filing, and planning services. You will collaborate closely with financial planners to deliver comprehensive financial advice and strategic guidance that helps clients achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maximizing tax efficiency.
- Oversee the work of other tax preparers as the practice continues to grow.
- Provide proactive tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes.
- Respond promptly to client needs while building trusted, long-term relationships.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to enhance service offerings.
- Collaborate with financial advisors and planners to develop comprehensive wealth management strategies aligned with clients objectives.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and/or public accounting.
- Strong technical knowledge of individual and small business tax preparation, tax planning, compliance, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Collaborative team player with a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
- Experience with the CCH suite of products is a plus.
