Eye to Eye is a small but well-funded & venture-backed medical technology startup developing FDA Class II electro-mechanical devices and software that help clinicians and their patients manage glaucoma. We’re well on our way to market with our first product, executing a major commercial partnership, and beginning to build the broader platform and organization needed for our next generation ecosystem.
Why Join UsAt a seven-person startup, every hire changes the trajectory. In this role, your work will touch nearly every part of the company, from financial planning, cash management, contracts, and business reporting to hiring, benefits, vendors, facilities, and day-to-day operating systems. You won’t be a back-office cog in a large organization. You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership team, turn strategy into executable plans, and build the financial foundation that allows an ambitious medical-device company to scale.
Your fingerprints will be on how the company operates for years to come. One day you may be improving forecasts and preparing information for the board, the next, you may be helping negotiate a vendor agreement, or solving an operational problem that is slowing the engineering team down. The scope is broad by design, and it will evolve as the company moves through product development, regulatory submission, commercialization, and growth.
We hire those who thrive in lean environments, take ownership, and bring structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy. This is a role for someone who enjoys making the whole organization work better, not simply managing a narrow functional lane. If you’re looking for a place where your decisions shape the company & culture, this is it.
No fixed office schedule. Use our Denver office when collaboration, team support, or the work itself benefits from being in person. Hours aren’t defined by a rigid 9-to-5; results, responsiveness, and impact matter. As with most startup roles, the priorities and responsibilities will evolve with the needs of the business.
The RoleYou will serve as Eye to Eye’s primary internal finance leader and a close strategic partner to the CEO and co-founders. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role. You will own financial planning and analysis, cash forecasting, project budgeting, financing and dilution modeling, financial reporting, and coordination with the company’s bookkeeper, CPA, legal counsel, equity-administration provider, and other advisers.
The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between high-level strategic work, such as Series A planning, valuation scenarios, and capital strategy, and detailed operating work, including reviewing accounting classifications, reconciling financial systems, and establishing repeatable reporting processes.
This is not a conventional big-company FP&A position. You must be willing to build the finance function, personally perform the analysis, and bring structure to incomplete or evolving processes.
