Grants Financial Analyst

Our client is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support grant-funded programs through financial reporting, budget tracking, and compliance management. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience interpreting complex grant, contractual, or regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, costs, and grant-funded expenditures.
• Prepare and submit financial reports and compliance documentation.
• Interpret grant agreements and funding requirements.
• Track reporting deadlines and ensure timely deliverables.
• Analyze financial data, identify risks, and support compliance efforts.
• Partner with finance, accounting, and project teams to gather reporting information.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in financial analysis, project controls, or reporting-focused finance roles.
• Strong financial reporting and budget management experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
• Experience interpreting financial, contractual, legal, or grant-related documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Utility industry experience.
• Department of Energy (DOE) grant experience.
• Contract compliance and interpretation experience.
