Advanced Energy is seeking a dynamic accounting leader to drive key accounting and finance initiatives including ERP implementation, mergers and acquisitions, finance transformation and strategic projects. Reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller, this role will be a key business partner across Finance, Accounting, IT, Operations to drive scalable processes, strengthen controls and support the company's growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the impact of data sources, enterprise systems to enable external reporting, management reporting and digital transformation
- Partner cross-functionally (e.g., Tax, Treasury, Legal) to support financial initiatives and process improvements, including ERP implementation and future system enhancements
- Manage accounting activities for acquisitions including coordinating purchase accounting activities
- Drive finance transformation and automation projects. Business partner to CFO organization to implement short, medium and long-term digital strategy and roadmap
- Support business integration, organizational redesign, and special projects
- Build relationships with executive leadership and global business partners
- Champion change management and serve as a strong positive leader, mentor and advisor to the accounting team

Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Proven organizational, time management, project management, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt, communicate, and connect with teams in a diverse global environment
- Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Ability to work with large amounts of data
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Hands-on, positive attitude; professional, results-driven problem solver
Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, consolidations, and reporting
- 6+ years of experience working within large ERP environments (SAP, Oracle, Black Line)
- Experience working for a multinational company
- Public company experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Public global company experience
- Hands-on experience with SAP and/or Oracle ERPs
- Experience with Black Line or similar tools
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA
Compensation:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $150,000 to $200,000 per year.
