JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer provides strategic financial leadership to EOC, ensuring long-term fiscal sustainability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role directs all accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, auditing, risk management, and treasury activities while serving as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute a comprehensive financial and operational strategy aligned with EOC's mission, strategic plan, and long-term sustainability goals
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), contributing to organization-wide decision-making, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic planning sessions
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance staff, setting clear performance expectations and fostering professional growth that supports both individual career goals and organizational objectives
- Build a high-performing finance team through ongoing coaching, training, and succession planning
- Partner with the CEO on organizational strategy, translating long‑range vision into actionable financial plans and resource‑allocation decisions
- Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annually in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Produce the Monthly Scorecard and other financial analyses as required by EOC leadership and the Board of Directors
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that track financial health, operational efficiency, and program performance; report trends and variances to the ELT and Board
