Work Schedule:
- Average work load is approximately 20 hours per month. Certain time of the year require more hours than others, for example annual review/audit preparation and annual budget development.
- Manage the annual audit/review.
- Management of time is flexible although it is necessary to ensure approvals, check signing, and report preparation are done in a timely manner.
- Attendance at Fiduciary Stewardship Committee (monthly), Visionary Leadership Commission (monthly), and Assembly (4-5 per year) is expected. A report at Assembly is also expected.
- Oversight will be provided by the Fiduciary Stewardship Committee.
Principal Responsibilities:
In accordance with the bylaws of the Presbytery of Denver, the Treasurer serves as an ex-officio member of the VLC with voice but no vote and is accountable to the Presbytery through the VLC for the implementation of the duties and responsibilities assigned to the office. The Treasurer shall serve as the treasurer of the Corporation of the Presbytery of Denver, Presbyterian Church (USA).

Term, Compensation and Review:
The Treasurer position is approved by the Presbytery. There term of office is for three years and the Treasurer will be eligible for re-election.
The Treasurer is eligible for a monthly stipend of $1,500. The Treasurer's performance will be reviewed annually by the FSC and reported to the VLC.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Broad financial accounting background, including an understanding of accounting practices, preferably an accounting degree.
- Ability to interpret financial data for staff, committees, and work groups.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Experience with financial records and accounting software. Willingness to learn Church Windows. Working knowledge of fund accounting.
- Working knowledge of church governance (BOP, Compensation, payroll taxes, 403B, FSA).
$1500 monthly stipend
