  • Prepare monthly PD allocations and ensure accurate supporting records
  • Complete monthly deferred revenue reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Review monthly revenue for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with grant terms and accounting policies
  • Monitor and manage the financial aspects of grants and contracts
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, financial reporting, budget restrictions, and allowable costs
  • Maintain accurate grant-related financial transaction records
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to grantors and funding agencies
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Provide financial data and analysis to program leadership and the finance team
  • Assist with grant budgets and financial forecasts
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis
  • Work with program managers on budget adherence and potential financial issues
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200)
  • Prepare for and assist with grant audits
  • Guide other grant accountants on procedures, compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Serve as primary grant contact when the Director of Grants and AP is absent
  • Track and report restricted and unrestricted funds
  • Prepare and submit grant invoices and reimbursement requests
  • Manage financial closeout processes for grants and contracts
  • Assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring grant-management internal controls
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
  • Process grant-related invoices and payments
  • Manage grant receivables, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations
  • Collaborate with program leadership, finance team members, and stakeholders
  • Communicate grant-related financial information clearly and concisely
Requirements
  • Minimum 2–3 years of general ledger experience
  • Preferred experience with grant billing
  • 3–4 years of experience providing guidance or day-to-day support to other accounting staff
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Demonstrated passion for social and racial justice
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced, all-hands-on-deck environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse personal and professional backgrounds
  • Current vaccination status in keeping with CDC recommendations because in-person work is sometimes required
