A rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Tax Manager to join its expanding finance team. This newly created position offers the opportunity to help shape and enhance the tax function within a dynamic, acquisition-driven environment.
The Tax Manager will work closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership teams to support tax compliance, tax planning, strategic transactions, and process improvement initiatives. This role provides significant visibility across the organization and exposure to complex tax matters, making it an excellent opportunity for a tax professional seeking long-term career growth and increased responsibility.
What You'll Do- Lead the ASC 740 tax provision process.
- Manage federal and state income tax compliance.
- Perform tax planning, tax research, and tax-efficient structuring initiatives.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
- Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Development teams on business initiatives.
- Assist with acquisition diligence and integration activities.
- Support renewable energy tax programs and tax equity structures.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Drive tax function enhancements and systems improvements.
- Manage and mentor tax team members.
- Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local tax law changes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field.
- Active CPA license required.
- 6+ years of progressive tax experience.
- Strong experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
- Federal and state income tax compliance experience.
- Big 4 public accounting experience.
- Combination of public accounting and industry tax experience.
- Experience supporting private equity-backed organizations.
- Transaction tax and M&A support experience.
