- Build relationships with customers through in-person, appointment-based, and virtual interactions
- Assess customers’ banking needs and obtain and process customer and account information
- Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products and services
- Recommend solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
- Conduct proactive outreach and follow-up with clients
- Maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products, services, and digital tools
- Greet clients and process basic transactions
- Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
- Open new consumer and business accounts
- Complete service requests and submit credit applications
- Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services
- Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training for the multiple-level role
- Client Relationship Consultant 1: typically one to two years of job-related, retail banking experience or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Client Relationship Consultant 2: typically three to four years of job-related, retail banking experience or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Client Relationship Consultant 3: typically four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or equivalent combination of experience and training
- National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
- Required NMLS registration process includes criminal background and credit checks
- Must maintain satisfactory criminal and credit records for NMLS registration
- Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety policies
Demonstrates expertise in client relationship management and retail banking operations, with a strong focus on assessing customer needs and providing tailored banking solutions. Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements and leverages digital tools to enhance client experiences.
