Financial Analyst

Description

A growing financial services organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP& A to join its finance team. This position will play a key role in supporting strategic planning, financial forecasting, budgeting, and executive reporting initiatives across the organization.

The Senior Financial Analyst will partner closely with leadership to provide actionable financial insights, develop robust financial models, evaluate business performance, and support key decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities

+ Lead and support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for executive leadership.

+ Analyze financial performance, key business metrics, and operational results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

+ Develop and maintain financial models, scenario analyses, and forecasting tools to support strategic initiatives and business growth.

+ Partner with department leaders to evaluate performance, support decision-making, and improve financial outcomes.

+ Perform variance analysis and communicate key drivers impacting financial results.

+ Assist with profitability analysis, revenue forecasting, expense management, and business case development.

+ Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and special projects through detailed financial analysis.

+ Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, financial controls, and operational efficiencies.

+ Present findings and recommendations to finance leadership and business stakeholders.

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.

+ 3-5+ years of progressive experience in FP& A, financial analysis, corporate finance, investment services, banking, wealth management, insurance, or accounting.

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.

+ Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.

+ Strong understanding of financial statements and key business performance metrics.

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

+ Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.

+ Ability to build relationships across departments and serve as a strategic business partner.

+

Experience with Planful, Oracle Hyperion / Oracle EPM, Power BI or similar ERP and financial planning systems preferred.

+ MBA and/or CPA designation is a plus.
