Crisis Ready Lab  LLC is an emergency management consulting practice that supports local and state government clients on hazard mitigation, emergency operations, wildfire protection, climate resilience, and related planning projects.

We are building a roster of experienced professionals to team with on upcoming government contracts in 2026 and beyond. This is not a single position. We are pre-qualifying specialists across multiple disciplines so we can assemble the right project teams quickly when opportunities arise.

We are looking for independent professionals with direct experience in one or more of the following plan types:

  • Hazard Mitigation Plans (single and multi-jurisdiction)
  • Emergency Operations Plans
  • After-Action Reports and Improvement Plans
  • Community Wildfire Protection Plans
  • Climate Adaptation and Resilience Plans
  • Community Health Needs Assessments
Roles we are looking to fill across projects include:
  • GIS and Hazard Risk Analysts
  • Public Engagement and Facilitation Leads
  • Wildfire Mitigation and Fuels Management Specialists
  • Public Health Subject Matter Experts
  • Equity, Accessibility, and Functional Needs Advisors
  • Emergency Operations and IC Specialists
  • Quality Control and Compliance Reviewers
  • Climate Adaptation Planners

All engagements are project-based, 1099 independent contractor arrangements. Hours, scope, and duration vary by project.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency management, hazard mitigation, or resilience planning. Direct experience working on named plans or contracts for government clients. Ability to work independently on a project basis.

Relevant certifications (CEM, CFM, AICP, PMP, GISP) preferred but not required.
