Position: Supervisory Auditor with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* Plan, manage, and oversee comprehensive audits or projects, within the area of responsibility, through subordinate supervisors.
* Provide guidance to subordinate supervisors in audit or project execution, maintenance of schedules, and value of findings and recommendations.
* Oversee or directly assign work; establish performance standards and evaluate performance; reward employees; ensure appropriate staff development.
* Direct the development of reports or special projects, ensure compliance with standards and the development of appropriate corrective actions; and defend results or project data through the resolution process.
* Represents the Audit Component and agency by preparing and presenting briefings to key stakeholders, such as Congressional staff, foreign governments, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and other federal agencies. Requirements Help Conditions of employment
* Must be a U.S. Citizen.
* Position has been designated as security designation level Noncritical Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

* You may be required to complete a financial disclosure (OGE-450).
* Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.
* Current DoD civilian employees are not required to submit to drug testing if moving from one Testing Designated Position (TDP) to another with no break in service, unless deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
* The incumbent must adhere to the DoD Standards of Conduct. Qualifications Time in Grade:
For entry at the GS-15 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-14 or equivalent or higher grade, in the Federal Service. Specialized

Experience:

You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-14 level in the Federal service or at an equivalent level. This specialized experience must have been acquired in an environment focused on government oversight, audits, or investigations at the federal level. Specialize experience is defined as: (1) Experience in supervising audit teams. (2) Experience in overseeing audit planning and execution, ensuring conformance with auditing standards.

(3) Experience in performance management and employee recognition; staff development; time and attendance; handling grievances and work place issues; and participation in decisions on hiring and promotion. AND Basic Qualifications for the 0511 Series:
Degree: auditing; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration or accounting. Or Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following: 1.

A certificate as a Certified Internal Auditor or a Certified Public Accountant, obtained through written examination;
Or 2. Completion of the requirements for a degree that included substantial course work in auditing or accounting, e.g., 15 semester hours. Related fields that also may qualify:
Business Management, Criminal Justice, General Business, Homeland Security, Information Security, Information Technology, International Business, International Justice, International Relations, Investigative Reporting, Journalism, Management, Management Operations, Mathematics, Organizational Management, Public Policy, Political Science, Resource Management, Any Major that includes 15hrs in accounting. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment.
