* The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. New community engagement specialist hires are typically brought into the organization between $86,634.00 - $/year.

** Location & Schedule**## The City and County of Denver balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. In this position you can expect to work on site or in community, up to five (5) days a week at:

E. Webb Building – 201 W Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80202 and the City and County Building, 1437 Bannock St, Denver, CO 80202. This position will require you to attend off-site, after hours, and weekend community events.##

** The City and County of Denver is launching a unified Office dedicated to delivering the $950 million Vibrant Denver Bond Program, passed by voters in November of 2025. Team members will operate with a “program-first” mindset, working collaboratively to deliver transformative investments on behalf of the City and County of Denver. The Vibrant Denver Bond Office is looking for a talented, experienced Community Engagement Specialist. As part of the Bond Office, this position can expect to work very closely and collaboratively with both the Mayor’s Office and the Department of Finance.
The Department of Finance () leads fiscal analysis and guidance, budgeting, accounting functions, tax assessment and collection, enforcement of fiscal policies, practices and procedures for the entire City and County of Denver. DOF also manages the City’s debt portfolio and investment portfolio.
The is dedicated to building a more vibrant, affordable, and safe Denver. The Office coordinates the activities of city government to deliver high-quality services, promote opportunity and equity for all residents, and advance the transformative initiatives critical to Denver’s future. The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the City and County of Denver and is responsible for the oversight of 15 charter departments and 11 other agencies and offices.
The Mayor’s Office directs all city departments, agencies, and offices, except those administered by other elected officials and appointed boards, and delivers many services through city management.
As the Community Engagement Specialist, you will:
* ** Design Outreach and Engagement Strategy Implementation Plans:
** Create and lead on implementation of city agency engagement strategies for infrastructure projects in the Vibrant Bond program.
* ** Design Public Engagement Processes:
** Develop and implement cohesive long-term processes to engage residents, local businesses, and community organizations in design and implementation for bond projects.
* ** Organize Public Meetings and Events:
** Design, organize, and facilitate regular community meetings, workshops, and events tailored to individual bond project processes to make accessible and impactful opportunities for community participation. Guide development of relevant materials (such as surveys, flyers, poster boards, etc.)
