Position: Management & Program Analyst, GS-0343-09, FPL 12, (Direct Hire) Open- Continuous

Position Overview

This position is located in Federal Student Aid (FSA). FSA is a Principal Office of the United States Department of Education responsible for awarding billions of dollars in federal student aid funds. Minimum Qualification Requirements

You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-09, if you possess the specialized experience, education, or a combination of the two.

Specialized Experience for the GS-9

One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-07 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:

  • Experience in developing the effectiveness and efficiencies of a program or process and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Experience in project management including development, implementation of planning tools and controls, tracking, reporting, and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Experience in analyzing data and documents to identify issues and patterns that need to be addressed.

OR

Education (see EDUCATION SECTION of the vacancy announcement)

OR

A combination of both education and experience in which the total percentages must equal at least 100% to qualify an applicant for that grade level.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to communicate orally with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make written recommendations to management.
  • Knowledge of customer service and customer support principles and methods.
  • Knowledge of qualitative techniques for analyzing and ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for an office.
