Position Overview

This position is located in Federal Student Aid (FSA). FSA is a Principal Office of the United States Department of Education responsible for awarding billions of dollars in federal student aid funds. You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-09, if you possess the specialized experience, education, or a combination of the two.

One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-07 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:

• Experience in developing the effectiveness and efficiencies of a program or process and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Experience in project management including development, implementation of planning tools and controls, tracking, reporting, and communicating with stakeholders.
• Experience in analyzing data and documents to identify issues and patterns that need to be addressed.

OR

A combination of both education and experience in which the total percentages must equal at least 100% to qualify an applicant for that grade level.

• Ability to communicate orally with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and make written recommendations to management.
• Knowledge of customer service and customer support principles and methods.
• Knowledge of qualitative techniques for analyzing and ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for an office.
