Job Title
The purpose of this position is to:
This position exists to be the Staff Authority to the Division of Child Support Services in a variety of assigned programmatic areas, which may include:
Intake, Current and Enforcing, Review and Adjustment, Post Order Change of Physical Care, Enforcement, Income Withholding, Bankruptcy, Locate, Financial, Case Closure, Administrative Reviews, and/or Emancipation.
This position has three main areas of responsibility:
- Serving as the key staff lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining Division policy, procedure, and regulation;
- Providing technical expertise and direction to Division and county Child Support Services staff on activities related assigned subject matter areas; and
- Serving as a regional representative to support county Child Support Services programs with policy compliance and performance improvement
Minimum Qualifications:
Seven (7) years of professional experience in policy analysis within a government agency, department, or program; legal research in the area of family law; or working in the Child Support Services program.
OR
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment and three (3) years of professional experience in policy analysis within a government agency, department, or program; legal research in the area of family law; or working in the Child Support Services program equal to seven (7) years.

- Experience with the Automated Child Support Enforcement System (ACSES)
- Experience with analyzing, implementing, and evaluating policy, legislation, and/or regulations
- Excellent writing skills so that information can be communicated clearly
- Technical assistance and/or training experience
- Experience successfully communicating both in verbal and written form to high level audiences
- Proven organizational and project management skills
- Ability to balance the needs and intent of the Federal and State guidelines with the needs of stakeholders
- Ability to creatively analyze and interpret information necessary to make decisions
Conditions of Employment:
- 1075 background check (access to Federal Tax information) and reference check required.
- This position requires State of Colorado residency at the time of application (unless otherwise identified in the posting), and residency within the state throughout the duration of employment in this position.
- Travel - Position may be required to travel throughout the State on a frequent basis to meet with and provide training to county partners or to travel out of state to annual conferences
