The Grants Specialist IV seeks out new grant funding opportunities, develops grant applications, and administers awarded grants for Colorado Parks and Wildlife's habitat and wildlife projects. The position serves as the primary liaison for grant management within the Division, working to expand CPW's grant base, support grant applications, manage awarded grants, and develop grant policies and procedures.
Key Qualifications- Seven years of relevant work experience in natural-resources-related grant management or related field
- Experience finding, applying for, and working with grants supporting wildlife or natural resources
- Considerable skill with grant proposal development, review, writing, management, and reporting
- Strong organizational skills supporting tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and high volume of work
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply local, state, and federal laws and fiscal rules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and state accounting systems
