This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, Financial Management Group (FMG).

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 2 out of 3 of the following:

• 1) Performing analysis on accounting transactions to adhere to accounting policies (i.e., Medicaid, CHIP, state or local national healthcare programs).
• 2) Developing audit approaches to evaluate financial data and accounting systems (i.e., Medicaid, CHIP, national, state or local healthcare programs).
• 3) Interpreting or implementing regulations, manuals, program guidelines, program memorandum, policy letters, and/or reports to communicate financial management policies to Stakeholders for Medicaid, CHIP, state or local national healthcare programs.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
