Organizational Relationships:

This position directly reports to the Deputy Director of Community Engagement.

Summary of Functions:

This position serves as the Constituent Affairs and Community Relations Coordinator for the Governor's Office of Internal Operations and is responsible for supporting the Deputy Director of Community Engagement with the implementation of the Governor's robust community engagement, constituent services, and correspondence plans across the state. These positions work with policy and operations staff within the Governor's Office, as well as with State Agency Advocates to help provide both access and easy navigation for all Coloradans.

Roles and Responsibilities Constituent Services & Correspondence:
  • Provide methodology and execution of constituent concern intake and response by phone, written correspondence, or in-person; determine jurisdiction of all casework.
  • Arrange correspondence and signature requests between different Colorado State Departments.
  • Assist walk-in constituents.
  • Track and report weekly, monthly and yearly on constituent contacts.
  • Coordinate with Governor's and agency staff to ensure external and internal communications are accurate, consistent, and conform to state brand and office style guide, including copyediting all outgoing products.
  • Responsible for maintaining thorough records of all official communication from the office to stakeholders at the local, state and federal level.
  • Custodian of Governor's letterhead and signature for internal and external use.
  • Assist with the correspondence program--including, but not limited to, drafting proclamations, congratulatory letters, letters of recognition, welcome letters, retirement letters and flags.
  • Ensure all external and internal Governor's Office communications are following WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Manage application of the Salesforce Constituent Services and Correspondence System in day-to-day activities and office-wide administration.
Community Engagement:
  • Assist the Community Engagement team in executing high-profile events for the Governor's Office, including but not limited to: statewide community meetings and listening sessions ,Holiday Festivities, Cultural Celebrations, etc.
  • Maintain a comprehensive community engagement calendar of upcoming community events and meetings that may be of interest to the Administration.
  • Maintain and contribute to a community engagement database that includes stakeholders, community members and local elected officials.
  • Research and propose community events for the Governor to attend that align with the Administration's Bold Five priorities and the Governor's in-state travel plans.
