This Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) work unit monitors parolees on a 24 hour per day, seven day per week, 356 days per year basis to provide public safety and opportunities of successful re-entry of inmates returning to community placement in the Division of Adult Parole.
The unit ensures compliance with Federal and State statutes, CDOC Regulations, Parole Board conditions and agreement, Code of Penal Discipline, community corrections standards, Interstate Compact Rules and Regulations and other established rules/standards for the supervision of parolees.
This position monitors electronic monitoring violations in conjunction with the electronic monitoring center and equipment vendors and coordinates the Division of Adult Parole field response.
The Command Post is open 7 days/week, 24 hours a day, including holidays. Positions are subject to working various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
The primary duties for this position are:- Monitor incoming alert data from the monitoring center vendor's web application and apply established guidelines to coordinate the response to the particular type of alert;
- Notify Adult Parole Division staff and coordinates, monitors, and documents the staff response to alerts;
- Communicate directly with the monitoring center and equipment vendor to clarify information and documents the results;
- Receive notifications regarding law enforcement contacts with parolees and determines the issuance of Holds and Releases, and/or escalation of calls;
- Contact other agencies when clarification of information is necessary;
- Receive requests for information from the monitoring center and equipment vendor's web applications, NCIC/CCIS databases, Department of Correction's databases, and other web applications;
- Research requests, collects, documents, and disseminates information to Adult Parole Division staff;
- Make notifications to law enforcement agencies at the request of Adult Parole Division staff;
- Conduct database queries to assist Adult Parole Division staff;
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
