Clinical Support Representative

Position Summary: Serves as the primary contact for patients, physicians and staff regarding the administrative aspects of a patient visit or service. Coordinates registration, scheduling and insurance functions as applicable to ensure efficient provision of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the administrative aspects of patient clinic visits and services, including scheduling, insurance verification, financial counseling, third‑party authorization, charge entry, and mailing required forms prior to the scheduled appointment. Educate potential patients about the visit or service as appropriate.
  • Accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information to facilitate accurate clinical billing. Collect co‑pays and provide receipts as applicable.
  • Answer, screen, and route phone calls, including taking messages; obtain patient records as needed and process them.
  • Maintain proficiency in departmental information systems and software applications.
  • Manage associated tasks in the EHR and other diagnostic systems.
  • Coordinate communication between clinical and administrative teams and act as a resource for patients and staff regarding administrative requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Graduate or equivalent (preferred).
  • Work Experience:

    Minimum one year of customer service experience required, healthcare experience preferred.
  • Special Training, Certification or Licensure:
    None.
Salary Range

$20.69 - $27.36 per hour.
