Job Summary:The Medical Services Coordinator serves as a point of contact to coordinate medical care, providing support to patients and psychiatric clinicians, ensuring quality customer service to in-person and remote patients and clinicians.
Compensation:$20-$21/hr
Location:The office is located at 1421 S Potomac St Suite 110, Aurora, CO 80012
Duties/Responsibilities:Operational Excellence:
- Create a positive work environment; support in-office clinician and staff engagement activities to promote LFST culture, engagement, and connection.
- Provide strong customer service, responding quickly and appropriately to patient needs, and managing potentially difficult or emotional situations.
- Communicate effectively with peers, clinicians, and patients to support patient care and clinician satisfaction.
- Assist clinicians with patient care aspects including prior authorizations, lab orders, letters, records requests, and coordination of forms (e.g., FMLA).
- Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and pharmacies.
- Manage phone systems: answer calls, support medication questions, refill requests, appointment reschedules, and inquiries.
- Ensure accuracy of pharmacy information in records, scan correspondence into EHR, and assist with telehealth access and troubleshooting.
- Handle urgent requests, triage patient issues, and coordinate external referrals.
- Support clinicians administratively, assist with letters, faxes, and patient questions.
- Aid in patient termination processes (e.g., termination letters, referrals).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to support high-quality patient experience.
- Work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMRs.
- Handle sensitive information per HIPAA standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; associate/bachelor’s preferred.
- 1+ years in healthcare operations, customer service, or similar preferred.
