We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to lead the development and execution of comprehensive health and safety programs. This role is responsible for fostering a strong safety-first culture
, ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing workplace risks, and promoting continuous improvement across operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific health and safety policies, programs, and SOPs aligned with OSHA, ISO, and IATF standards
.
- Design and deliver safety training programs covering LOTO, machine guarding, Haz Com, PPE, and emergency response.
- Maintain training records and collaborate with HR and leadership on workforce skill matrices.
- Conduct routine inspections and hazard assessments (chemical, physical, ergonomic, biological).
- Implement corrective actions to reduce workplace risks.
- Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, and near misses.
- Perform root cause analysis, manage corrective actions, and oversee workers’ compensation cases.
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure accurate documentation, including OSHA 300 logs and regulatory reports.
- Serve as the primary safety contact, lead safety committees, and partner with leadership to embed safety into daily operations.
- Oversee inspection and maintenance of machinery and safety equipment.
- Analyze safety metrics and trends to drive operational improvements and implement best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene
, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 3–5+ years of dedicated safety experience within manufacturing or heavy industry
. - Strong knowledge of OSHA and federal/state safety regulations.
- Proven expertise in risk assessment, root cause analysis, and safety management systems
. - Experience integrating safety training into operational procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team engagement skills.
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
- ASP (Associate Safety Professional)
- GSP, OHST, CIH, or similar credentials
- Familiarity with Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) or Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs.
- Experience managing return-to-work and light-duty programs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
