The Laboratory Technologist supports testing and evaluation of medical devices within a regulated, GLP-compliant laboratory environment. This role performs hands‑on testing, maintains laboratory instrumentation, and ensures high‑quality documentation to support product development, verification/validation, and ongoing quality assurance activities.
General Responsibilities:Execute a broad range of device evaluations, including characteristic testing, performance assessments, packaging integrity testing, and environmental conditioning studies.
Perform blood‑based testing using bovine and human blood to model clinically relevant and surgical‑use conditions.
Perform all laboratory work in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
Maintain accurate, complete, and legible documentation of all testing activities, observations, and results.
Update and revise laboratory documents, protocols, and forms within the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and operational checks on laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
Maintain laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables to support uninterrupted testing operations.
Record, analyze, and interpret test data using laboratory software, spreadsheets, and statistical tools.
Prepare data summaries, charts, and reports to support engineering, R&D, and quality teams.
Hands‑on laboratory experience preferred, especially in medical device, biomedical, or GLP environments.
Familiarity with blood handling and mechanical testing equipment.
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and adherence to regulated processes.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
Proficiency with laboratory software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
BA/BS in Biology or related scientific field OR 3+ years of laboratory experience

A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $28 - $38 per hour. Pay ranges may vary by location.
