Local Contract PCU; Transplant​/Stepdown RN

Health Trust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Denver, Colorado.

  • Day Shift – 1 Charge RN and 2 PCTS every day (3 PCTs if at 23 patients). RN numbers vary depending on census but will always be at a 1:3-4 ratio
  • Night Shift – same as above
• Patient Ratios –1:3-4
• Type of equipment–bladder scanner on each floor, Mobilabs for lab draws, EKG machine, Accu Vein, Virtual Sitter Cameras, W.O.Ws, Hoyer Lift, Sara Stedy Lift, Sit to Stand Lift
• EMR
  -Meditech
• Typical Procedures:
  Wound/drain care (wound vac, chest tube, JP)

Must Haves:

• An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred
• A recent 12 months of PCU RN experience in an acute inpatient hospital setting
• Experience caring for patients with Heparin gtts and PCA’s
• CO RN License
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certifications

Preferred or Nice to Have:

• Experience with Solid Organ Transplant (kidney, liver or pancreas)
• Medi Tech Experience
• Travel Experience
