Occupational Health Athletic Trainer

Needed for a full‑time temp contract opportunity with Yoh's well‑known client located in Denver, CO.

Anticipated start date:
January 2, 2026, with a duration of 6‑8 weeks (maximum 12).

This position is at a medical clinic located at a manufacturing company that offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. You will work alongside a Physician Assistant to provide injury prevention, case management, evaluation, treatment, general wellness, and health promotion.

Shifts: Monday‑Thursday 7:45 am – 3:45 pm;
Friday 6:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Top Skills You Should Possess
  • Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Athletic Trainer (preferred)
  • Prior occupational health experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively teach, counsel, and educate employees on healthy living topics
What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist in prevention and treatment of work‑related injuries, ergonomics coaching, job site evaluations, health promotion, general wellness, and fitness program promotion.
  • Case management and counseling the patient population.
  • Communicate regularly with the onsite provider regarding patient rehabilitation and employee injury prevention activities.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend adjustments to the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team to reduce injury risk; attend safety meetings.
  • Lead educational initiatives surrounding injury prevention, well‑being, and related topics.
  • Assist and participate in the workers' comp process, including return‑to‑work programs.
  • Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms and reports.
What You Need to Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program.
  • Licensure in the state of Colorado as an Athletic Trainer.
  • Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC).
  • BLS certification.
  • Annual flu shot preferred.
  • Passion for promoting health and well‑being in the workplace.
