The Clinical Director organizes, administers, and oversees the clinical operations of the START Program. The Clinical Director is also responsible for developing services with community partners, promoting high quality customer service, providing clinical and administrative supervision to Start Team Leads/Program Managers, maintaining culturally competent and quality services.
Essential Duties- Provide oversight and consultation on positive behavior and interaction supports and other written documents
- Review START related documentation and provide clinical input
- Provide training and consultation to staff, families and providers including ongoing organization and conducting monthly of CETs
- Assist START Coordinators with preparation for START Coordinator certification; complete activities for own START certification.
- Participate in and facilitate recurring team meetings as necessary, including clinical case review and peer review.
- Provide monthly clinical supervision to team leads
- Enter, monitor and assure data entry for all team members in the START Information Reporting System. Use data to inform programmatic decision-making.
- Provide consultation to community providers/psychologists
- Serve as Administrator On Call approximately one week (7 days) per month.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience with people with IDD and behavioral health needs.
- Experience with evidence-based treatment models.
- Experience with providing clinical input to other professionals and para-professionals.
- Experience and knowledge of clinical report standards.
- Excellent communication and meeting facilitation skills.
- Experience with provision of clinical supervision.
- Knowledge of best practices in adult learning and presentation skills.
- Experience with consulting with community providers.
- Strong knowledge of importance of data integrity and reporting.
- Cultural humility
- Ph.D.or PsyD in psychology and licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Colorado
- Extensive experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), specifically with people who have IDD and behavioral health needs.
- Must be a certified coordinator or can complete the START Coordinator certification process within 6-12 months of hiring.
- Cultural humility and responsiveness
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience developing and implementing positive behavior support plans.

- Participates in agency and community planning and education.
- Develops and maintains records, plans and reports.
- Lift and/or carry 20 lbs.
- Sit, stand and walk for reasonable periods of time.
- Maintains prompt and regular attendance.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Ability to drive personal or company vehicle
- Valid drivers license
- Proof of motor vehicle insurance
- Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work
- No major violations in the past three years.
- No more than two moving violations in the past three years
- Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles
