Salary/Hourly Rate:70,720

This position provides voluntary mental healthcare to current Service Source client's and/or Denver
residents. This includes assessment/consultation, therapy, psychoeducation groups, therapeutic groups, and referrals. Services may be provided on a walk-in, call-in or appointment basis. Mental health services will be delivered to participants during business hours, in-person at company-defined locations, and/or via telehealth (HIPAA- compliant phone or video)

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Provide assessment, consultation, brief intervention and/or referrals to community providers for participants both on a walk-in and appointment basis.
  • Facilitate voluntary 1:1 counseling for individuals who express interest in mental health care.
  • Counseling services are provided virtually (by phone and/or HIPAA-compliant video), at company offices, or at different participant locations around Denver Metro Area
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using SOAP or DAP notes, ensuring Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance.
  • Provide direct intervention and referral to clients experiencing mental health crises during normally scheduled hours within the professional's scope of practice
  • May facilitate or co-facilitate groups for up to 10 individuals including topics such as addiction recovery, psychoeducation, life skills and others

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain Licensure:
    Achieve or maintain active mental health professional licensure in the state of Colorado.
  • Malpractice Insurance:
    Maintain malpractice insurance in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Licensure Advancement:
    If unlicensed or under supervision, work toward independent licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LAC).
  • Outreach and Engagement:
    Conduct outreach internally and with partner agencies to ensure full utilization of company services.
  • Staff Support:
    Provide consultation and support to Bayaud staff working with clients experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Referral Coordination:
    Collaborate with external mental health agencies to establish referral partnerships and facilitate warm handoffs.
  • Participant Support:
    Offer referrals to internal services and external community partners to help participants meet their needs.
  • Training and Development:
    Facilitate occasional staff training on mental health, addiction, or related topics; engage in ongoing professional development to maintain licensure.
  • Data and Team Participation:
    Maintain accurate data entry in participant databases and actively participate in team meetings and conferences
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Desire to obtain independent Colorado mental health licensure or independently licensed in Colorado, including but not limited to one of the following credentials:
    Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • LAC or CAS preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Availibility and willingness to travel weekly outside of the local area to perform the job.

Required:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field required along with a minimum of 1 year direct experience serving vulnerable populations and facilitating groups.
  • A valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), grammar, and reasoning abilities.
  • Strong understanding of Trauma Informed Care principles.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
  • Cultural competency and humility in working with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to participant and program needs as they arise.
  • Adherence to professional ethical standards such as the NASW or ACA Code of Ethics, depending on licensure.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
  • Regular practice of self-care and contribution to community care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply written instructions; perform mathematical calculations; and solve practical problems using various forms of instruction.
