Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Seasonal travel position on a 48-bed medical telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on night shift
• All private rooms with normal daily census of 48 patients
• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Required certifications: BLS and Medical/Surgical background
• Preferred experience with spinal cord injury patients
• Perform typical procedures including wound care, occasional bowel programs, and light burn care
• Care for specialty surgical flap patients and spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention
• Partner with burn unit to provide care for low-acuity burn patients
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 PCTs, and 8-9 RNs/LPNs
• Best suited for RNs who enjoy working on a busy medical floor
• May occasionally use semi-private rooms when hospital census is high
