RoleSummary
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for gynecologic, obstetric, and infertility ultrasounds utilizing transducers (2D abdominal and vaginal, and 3D vaginal), ultrasound imaging equipment, and doppler technology. They will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality patient care and working closely with our dynamic clinical team.
Responsibilities- Prepares exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations
- Performs clinical assessments and diagnostic gynecologic, obstetric, and infertility ultrasound procedures using various transducers (3D, 2D vaginal and abdominal)
- Utilizes EMR system to import scans accurately
- Addresses concerns of abnormal findings with physician in a timely manner
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA) and facility policies
- Maintains exam rooms and ultrasound supplies and equipment (sterilizing transducers and machines as needed)
- Delivers safe and precise procedures with patient interaction and technical competence to provide accurate results in a timely manner
- American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification required
- 2 years of experience in OB/GYN or infertility required
This is a full-time non-exempt onsite position that requires early hours, rotational weekends and holidays.
CompensationThe salary range for this role is $35-48/hr salary is based on job-related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees.
