What you'll do as a Primary Mental Health Therapist- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents & adults in our RES, IOP, and PHP programs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, continually monitor progress and appropriateness of goals, and prepare discharge recommendations.
- Lead psycho educational groups that are supportive and engaging.
- Collaborate with the treatment team, including dieticians, psychiatrists, and other professionals, to ensure optimal care & progress.
- Attend weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to review patient progress and coordinate the next steps.
- Keep clinical records up to date — treatment plans, progress notes, and other necessary paperwork.
- Communicate with referral partners, outpatient teams, and support systems and provide regular updates on your patient's progress.
- Facilitate the discharge process by developing an aftercare plan, joining transition sessions with OP providers, and connecting patients with available resources.
- Education: Holds a master's degree, PhD, or PsyD in behavioral health, social work, psychology, clinical mental health counseling, family therapy, or a related field.
- License: Holds an LPCC, LMFTC, LSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD, or PsyD license.
- Experience: Individual therapy experience is required. Experience with group and family therapy preferred, but willing to train. Training in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and Family Systems Theory is a plus.
- Skilled: Strong clinical interviewing and counseling skills. Builds rapport and maintains professional boundaries. Knowledge of eating disorder treatment (or excitement to learn) and co-occuring disorders.
- Organized: Keeps thorough, accurate, and timely documentation. Good time management.
- Collaborative: Works well with multidisciplinary teams and referral partners. Flexible in learning new things to support the team.
- Creative: Bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to help patients heal.
- Tech-savvy: Proficient with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records.
- $65,000-$85,000 annual salary, depending on experience and licensure.
